We Will Rock You is roughly as easy as falling out of bed in a morning. Particularly if you adore anthems.ĭespite Freddie Mercury’s obviously stunning voice, the variation in difficulty levels across all these tracks is incredible. Essentially there’s a mass of tracks here that everyone can enjoy. There’s even a love song for those who adore the larger ladies with Fat Bottomed Girls. With over 20 tracks, featuring some of the most well known music tracks in, well, ever, there’s no doubt that Sony are onto yet another winner.Įverything from the ever anthemic Bohemian Rhapsody, the also anthemic We Will Rock You, the, erm, obviously anthemic We Are The Champions, are included. Opening up the Queen back catalogue for PS3 owning karaoke fans is obviously a fantastic idea. And with SingStar Queen packing so many iconic tracks that millions will no doubt love to drunkenly ruin, things look set to continue in the same vein for quite a while yet. Bit of a shame, really, and I can't think of a good reason why they did this.(Pocket-lint) - The SingStar phenomenon still doesn’t yet show any hints of slowing down. You'll be missing out on the aural delights of Hammer to Fall, A Kind of Magic, Radio Ga Ga, The Show Must Go On, and Killer Queen. One slightly sour note is that the PlayStation 2 version only comes with 20 songs. It's worth repeating again that the mileage you get out of this game will depend on how obsessed you and your mates are with Queen. Hammer to Fall, We Are the Champions, Bo Rap, and Don't Stop Me Now are also good times - although really, I enjoyed every song on here, even You're My Best Friend.

But if you're partial to a bit of Bohemian Rhapsody, you'll find a lot of songs that are absurdly fun to blast out when you've got friends around - and ideally, if you're of drinking age, when sobriety is nowhere to be found.Ī standout for me is Under Pressure, which is equal parts fun and horrible to listen to when people are trying to hit the high notes.

So, are you a Queen fan? If not, you may as well stop reading now. If you're a longtime SingStar fanatic, you'll know the drill by now: this is a collection of 25 Queen songs (for the PS3 at least - more on that in a sec), some of which were already released on the SingStore, and some of which are brand new.īeyond a Queen-themed wallpaper and background music, not much else is new - the gameplay and modes remain unchanged, as you'd expect. I think I was born knowing the lyrics to all their songs, but I'll attempt to be at least partly impartial here. Well, I've known this one was coming for some time, but even so, it's a lot of fun for Queen fans. MERCURY RISING: Rocks gods Queen now have their own SingStar game.
